In the fight against homelessness, and when funding allows, Family Service provides emergency rental assistance, move in deposits and motel vouchers for households with children and elderly, disabled on fixed incomes living in our eligible service area who are facing eviction or already homeless.  Last year, 206 households received 236 months of rent paid by local funders who invest in our work.
With a housing stock shortage, recent and substantial rent increases and growing homeless counts in our County, we recognize that rental assistance is only one sliver of a bigger solution needed to stabilize families in crisis.
Each eligible family receives wrap around support such as clothing, food, and transportation support in an effort to relieve the toxic stress caused by a housing crisis.
